KOMTEST / Diesel test bench selection
Diesel test benches: compare systems and choose your setup
A diesel test bench should match the components your workshop actually services. Start with the injection system, then decide whether you need injector testing, coding, pump testing or mechanical calibration. This guide connects those tasks to the KOMTEST range manufactured in Konya, Türkiye.
Which diesel test bench fits your work?
Use the model's role to create a shortlist. The linked product sheets and workshop packages explain the equipment; the final configuration depends on your exact part numbers and workload.
| Model | Main task | When to consider it |
|---|---|---|
| CRI PUMP 2400 | Common Rail injectors + pumps | Four-injector testing with integrated pump control for a mixed Common Rail workload. |
| CRI 2300 | Common Rail injectors | Multi-injector testing and coding for workshops focused on injector work. |
| CRI PUMP 2200 | Common Rail injector + pump | A single injector channel plus pump control when both types of work are needed. |
| CRI 2100 | Common Rail injector | A compact single-channel bench for injector testing and coding. |
| CR PUMP 2700 | Common Rail pumps | Dedicated pump work: transfer, pressure, Emprobe, start and performance tests. |
| UNIT 2500 | Unit injector / unit pump | Cambox-based pump-injector testing with BIP and stroke control. |
| UNIT 2600 | Unit systems with extended coverage | UNIT 2500 architecture with additional Delphi and Volvo Euro 6 applications and code reading. |
| HEUI 2800 | HEUI injectors | Dedicated hydraulic actuation with separate test-fluid and hydraulic-oil circuits. |
| Pump Test Bench 969 PT | Mechanical diesel pumps | PC-controlled calibration with dual-tube measurement and an 18.5 kW electrical drive. |
01
Choose the injection system first
Common Rail, mechanically actuated unit systems and hydraulically actuated HEUI injectors require different test arrangements. A diesel test bench is not automatically suitable for every diesel component. Mechanical pump calibration is another separate workflow.
For a mixed workshop, compare a combined Common Rail injector-and-pump bench with separate machines. For a specialist workshop, dedicated injector, pump or unit-system equipment can make the choice clearer.
02
Compare complete configurations, not just a machine price
A useful quotation identifies the bench, the required fixtures, cables and adapters, and the test and coding coverage for your work. The number of channels alone does not describe an entire test cycle or workshop throughput.
- List your most frequent injector and pump part numbers, including the manufacturer and system.
- Separate testing, coding, repair verification and pump calibration requirements.
- Check the included package against optional adapters and future work you plan to add.
- Agree on installation, operator training, reporting, software updates and service arrangements in the quotation.
03
Use injector profiles to prepare a coverage request
Search the injector library with the full reference number before asking for a configuration. A profile helps identify the component and available reference information. A library listing is not proof that a particular machine includes its test plan, coding procedure or adapter.
Send your shortlist of references together with the desired test tasks. KOMTEST can check the proposed machine and package against that list rather than relying on a broad brand name.
Questions before choosing a bench
What does a diesel test bench measure?
It depends on the system and test plan. Injector work can include delivery, return flow and response measurements; Common Rail pump work includes pressure and delivery-related checks. Mechanical pump and unit-system benches use their own drive, control and measurement arrangements.
How much does a diesel test bench cost?
KOMTEST machines are quoted by configuration. Share the injection systems, part numbers, required testing or coding, and installation destination to receive a machine-and-accessory quotation. Compare what each quotation includes before comparing totals.
Can one bench cover all injector brands?
Brand-level coverage is too broad to answer this reliably. Confirm each injector family and reference number, the required adapter, software version and intended test or coding operation for the selected model.
