KOMTEST / Mechanical pump calibration
Mechanical diesel pump test bench and calibration setup
Mechanical diesel pump work calls for controlled drive, suitable mounting and a measurement arrangement matched to the calibration procedure. The KOMTEST Pump Test Bench 969 PT brings PC control and dual-tube measurement to this workflow.
The mechanical pump platform
Review the 969 PT product sheet for its drive, controls and supplied accessories. Compare the pump mounting and coupling requirements against the equipment already in your workshop.
| Model | Main task | When to consider it |
|---|---|---|
| Pump Test Bench 969 PT | Mechanical diesel pumps | PC-controlled calibration with dual-tube measurement and an 18.5 kW electrical drive. |
01
Start with the pump and calibration procedure
A mechanical pump setup must hold and drive the pump correctly while the operator measures output under the specified conditions. Pump reference, rotation, mounting and coupling requirements belong in the configuration request.
Common Rail pump testing and mechanical pump calibration use different workflows. If your workshop services both, specify them separately so the proposed equipment and fixtures cover each task clearly.
02
What the 969 PT platform includes
The published 969 PT specification lists an 18.5 kW AC drive with a Mitsubishi inverter, PC control, programmable function keys and dual measuring tubes of 260 cm³ and 44 cm³. Its controls include stroke and angle control, temperature regulation and a 12 V / 24 V supply.
The catalogue also lists pump stands, flanges, couplings, test injectors and test pipes among the supplied accessories. Use the detailed product sheet to review quantities, then ask for confirmation of the items needed for your pump references.
03
Plan the workstation around repeatable setup
The purchase decision includes access for mounting, fluid handling, operator training and the way calibration results will be recorded. Confirm site requirements with KOMTEST using the final machine configuration.
- List the pump references and the calibration procedures you use.
- Check mounting flanges, drive couplings, test injectors and pipe connections.
- Review electrical supply and installation requirements before delivery.
- Agree on operator training, maintenance and the supply of replacement consumables.

Questions before choosing a bench
Is 969 PT a Common Rail injector coding bench?
No. The 969 PT is a mechanical diesel pump calibration platform. For Common Rail injector testing and coding, compare the CRI and CRI PUMP models and verify the required injector coverage.
Are adapters included with the mechanical pump bench?
The published product sheet includes a supplied accessory list with stands, flanges and couplings. Check the exact package against your pump references; inclusion of one adapter does not establish coverage of every pump.
How do I request a mechanical pump calibration setup?
Send the pump references, mounting and drive information, existing fixtures and installation destination. KOMTEST can then confirm a suitable machine and accessory configuration in the quotation.
