Both models serve mechanically actuated unit systems. Select the machine's documented functions first, then match the cambox, fixtures, pusher pins and cables to the component. HEUI has its own hydraulic test arrangement and a separate guide.

Cambox testing and hydraulic actuation solve different tasks
EUI and EUP testing requires a suitable mechanical drive arrangement for the component under test. Fixture geometry, cam selection, electrical connection and test timing must match the application. The UNIT range combines a cambox arrangement with electronic control and measurement.
HEUI testing requires a controlled hydraulic actuation circuit in addition to the test-fluid circuit. HEUI 2800 uses separate tanks for hydraulic oil and test fluid. When specifying a setup, identify the injector system rather than relying only on the vehicle brand.

Compare UNIT 2500 and UNIT 2600 by application
UNIT 2500 provides the core pump-injector testing architecture with BIP and stroke control. UNIT 2600 builds on that platform with additional Delphi and Volvo Euro 6 applications, code reading and VW piezo application support described in its product sheet.

Prepare an application list for heavy-duty work
For a workshop handling mixed fleets, group references by injection system first. A list of truck or engine names without injector references can hide important differences in the required setup.
- Provide the injector or unit-pump reference and the engine application when available.
- Separate EUI/EUP, HEUI and Common Rail jobs in your list.
- Ask which fixtures and adapter sets are included for each reference.
- Review the report and any timing, BIP or code-reading functions required for your workflow.

What is the difference between EUI/EUP and HEUI testing?
EUI and EUP use a mechanical actuation arrangement matched to the component. HEUI uses a dedicated hydraulic actuation circuit alongside the test-fluid circuit. Compare UNIT 2500/2600 for the former and HEUI 2800 for the latter, with coverage checked by exact reference.
Is code reading the same as injector coding?
No. Reading an existing code and generating a correction code are different operations. State which operation is required and confirm it for the specific injector and software.
What should I send for an EUI/EUP quotation?
Send injector or pump references, engine applications, the required test tasks and a list of equipment already in your workshop. This allows the bench, cambox configuration and adapter package to be checked together.
